Business Resources

An environment pro-actively supportive of entrepreneurship is central to the very nature of Renfrew County and connected directly to our economic development objective of new investment and resident attraction and growth from within. Rural regions typically display more self-reliance, often out of necessity, resulting in many independent industrial and commercial businesses and a climate conducive to entrepreneurial endeavours. There are many reasons entrepreneurs thrive in Renfrew County.

Operating and start-up costs in Renfrew County are lower than those of larger urban centres, yet the resources and amenities of large urban centres are literally located next door in the City of Ottawa, and a few hours drive further in the City of Montreal, the United States and the Greater Toronto area. Our broadband, highways and roads infrastructure enable global scale businesses to operate from almost anywhere across our broad region. Across Renfrew County we have a range of services to directly assist new entrepreneurs and business owners in several different ways.
